Event Description and Key Objectives
“The Next Horizon” signalled Jezeršek Catering’s bold entrance into Austria’s premium catering and high-end events market with a spectacular culinary experience at Taggenbrunn Castle. Over 500 distinguished guests - business partners, media, and opinion leaders from Slovenia and Austria - were immersed in an evening of haute cuisine, wine, music, and architecture. The event celebrated the grand opening of the Castle Restaurant and Castle Wine Bar & Café and highlighted Jezeršek’s successful partnership with the Riedl family, owners of the estate. Its core objectives were to position Jezeršek as a trusted catering partner in Austria, unveil the full potential of the new event location Taggenbrunn, and express the brand’s values: responsible cuisine, excellence in execution, and top-tier hospitality.
Key challenges
Delivering a large-scale, premium B2B unforgettable experience at the highest level brought both logistical and conceptual challenges. Presenting the new Taggenbrunn location to over 500 guests from Slovenia and Austria in an emotionally engaging and cohesive way required more than flawless coordination - it demanded spatial dramaturgy. The castle’s diverse settings were transformed into immersive culinary stages with live food performances, each revealing a chapter of the culinary story and Jezeršek standard. Ensuring a continuous flow of guests through multiple locations without losing momentum, atmosphere, or narrative arc required precision timing, expert crowd management, and seamless integration of food, music, architecture, and emotion.

Creativity
The concept seamlessly fused culinary art, natural landscape, and brand narrative into a distinctive multisensory journey. The picturesque Taggenbrunn Castle, nestled above the vineyards, provided a breathtaking stage, elevated by ambient lighting, curated soundscapes, and elegant artistic elements. Culinary storytelling unfolded through spatial dramaturgy - each area of the castle hosted live food performances that revealed a different chapter of the creative culinary experience. Framed as “a journey through taste, space, and time,” the venue became an integral storytelling medium. Precisely timed sequences - sunset, lighting transitions, speeches, musical cues - heightened the emotional arc. The artfully designed programme fused tradition with contemporary innovation, exuding an international energy that left guests in awe and wonder.
Innovation
The event pushed boundaries by introducing new Jezeršek food performances that blended storytelling with live plating and performance art. Signature stations such as the “Gourmet Catwalk”, “Plating Performance”, “Running Salami”, and immersive “Crudo Experience & Tuna Ritual” redefined guest interaction. Additional highlights included the Chef’s Menu at the restaurant, the Taggenbrunn Wine Tasting, the sensory “Taste the Vision” installation, and the spectacular “CulinART: Croquembouche.” Together, these experiences turned dining into a dynamic, narrative-driven spectacle. Technology was seamlessly integrated through custom lighting, immersive acoustics, and interactive materials. Musical innovation peaked with AntoNetta’s soprano-electronic fusion and Phly Boyz’s live set - bridging opera, Tomorrowland, and dancefloor rhythms. Sustainability remained a quiet constant throughout.
Execution
The event was led by a core team consisting of Jezeršek’s leadership, sales, marketing and HR departments, and key external partners - including a dedicated event director, a professional event management agency and florists. 29 chefs, 26 waitstaff, and more than 20 on-site specialists ensured flawless delivery. Detailed run sheets, pre-event site visits, and rehearsals guaranteed timing precision and team synergy. Each staff member was briefed not only on logistics but also on narrative delivery - ensuring that every guest interaction contributed to the overall storytelling. The collaboration with Taggenbrunn’s owners and local suppliers was essential, providing operational support and authenticity. From setup to final toast, execution was seamless and fully aligned with the Jezeršek’s high standards.
Measurable results
The event exceeded its goals: 500+ guests attended from Slovenia and Austria, including key clients, partners, and media. It generated over 100 business leads and inquiries from the Austrian market and received extensive press coverage in both countries. Internal feedback showed extremely high guest satisfaction. Positive ROI was evident through strengthened brand visibility, new B2B relationships, and the successful positioning of Taggenbrunn as a long-term Jezeršek culinary and event destination - demonstrated by a surge in restaurant visits in the days following the event. The impact extended beyond the evening itself, laying the foundation for future collaborations, corporate bookings, and strategic partnerships. The event also created valuable content for digital and offline use.
Communication
“The Next Horizon” was a key pillar of Jezeršek’s international brand strategy. Communication began with save-the-dates and printed invitations in three languages (EN, DE, SI), featuring QR codes that linked to registration form. A creatively illustrated map guided attendees through the castle’s experiential journey, while on-site visual elements, aesthetic signage, custom table cards, and gift reinforced the brand narrative. The event also marked the official unveiling of the new “Jezeršek Responsible Cuisine” logo - presented to the public for the first time as a symbol of the company’s values. Post-event communication included videos, curated photo content, and media materials. PR campaigns in Slovenia and Austria ensured high-profile coverage and long-lasting impact.
Sustainable practices
Sustainability was embedded from concept to cleanup. All ingredients were seasonal, locally sourced from Slovenia and Austria, and aligned with the principles of Jezeršek’s “Responsible Cuisine”. Waste was minimised, properly sorted on-site, and surplus food was monitored using smart scales after the event. No single-use plastics were used, and logistics were optimised to reduce transport-related emissions. Staff uniforms were repurposed from previous events, further reducing the carbon footprint. A special feature of the event was the exhibit of smart scales in the museum, highlighting zero food waste awareness. Sustainable access was also considered: bus transportation from Slovenia was organised for guests, and access to the castle was possible either by elevator from the lower parking area or on foot. Sustainability was present in every detail, leaving guests inspired and more conscious of the values behind the experience.
