ICCA Central Europe and Unicorn Awards collaborate to deliver a landmark week in Ljubljana

For the first time, the ICCA Central European Chapter Meeting and the Unicorn Awards will be held together in Ljubljana, providing a unique platform that brings together business events, creativity, and industry excellence.

In September 2026, the ICCA Central European Chapter (CEC) Annual Meeting and the Unicorn Awards will join forces in Ljubljana, marking a significant milestone for the European meetings and events industry. This partnership will unite two respected platforms, offering an integrated experience that combines professional education, networking, and recognition of Europe’s most outstanding event projects.

From 6 to 8 September 2026, the ICCA CEC Annual Meeting will welcome meeting professionals from across Central Europe for three days of knowledge sharing, strategic discussions, and networking. Hosted by Ljubljana Tourism and the ICCA Central European Chapter, the programme is designed to present Ljubljana not only as a destination, but as a dynamic testbed for innovative meetings and events.

Held in parallel on 7 and 8 September at Ljubljana Castle, the Unicorn Awards will gather Europe’s leading event agencies, brands, and creative professionals to compete for one of the industry’s most respected honours. Finalists will present their projects live to an international jury, and delegates will participate in discussions on the future of meetings and live communication before the winners are announced at the awards ceremony.

This collaboration creates a strong synergy between the two events. ICCA CEC participants will gain direct insight into the creativity, innovation, and measurable impact of Europe’s leading event projects, while Unicorn Awards participants will have the opportunity to connect with a wider community of association meeting professionals.

The partnership further strengthens Ljubljana’s reputation as a leading European destination for meetings and events. By hosting both the ICCA Central European Chapter Meeting and the Unicorn Awards, the city demonstrates its capacity to deliver world-class professional events and highlights its cultural heritage, innovative venues, and welcoming atmosphere.
