KIA EV9 Launch

The KIA EV9 Launch, organised by PLEJ Agency in Poland, won second place in the B2B category at the Unicorn Awards 2024. The event was praised for its creative integration of nature, technology, and immersive storytelling.


The launch was designed to be unlike anything seen before in Poland, bringing together electrification, the power of nature, recycling, and clean air into a fully immersive experience. Guests were surprised with a secret location at the Grądy Airport, tucked away in the forest with an 800-meter runway. Nature itself became part of the stage, enhanced with over 400 lights and a 1000m² projection on the forest wall, while the EV9 moved in a continuous 3.5-minute sequence, combining elegance, movement, and technology.

The creative concept relied on minimal technical infrastructure, instead leveraging the natural surroundings to showcase the car’s spacious interior and eco-friendly features. Guests walked past projections of swimming turtles, surfers, and butterflies, and experienced a seven-minute film highlighting KIA’s dedication to sustainability. By keeping the audience engaged through storytelling, immersive visuals, and movement, the launch created a truly memorable and original presentation of the EV9.

The launch exceeded expectations, with 652 pieces of media coverage across online, print, and TV, reaching over 1.8 million people, while social media engagement surpassed 780,000. Local supplier collaboration and the use of recycled materials for furniture minimised the environmental impact, demonstrating that a large-scale automotive launch can be both spectacular and sustainable.
